Less Than 4 Weeks, Room Pics

Although the baby's room isn't completely finished, I thought I'd better get some pictures posted or it might never happen. I still need to get the rocking chair in there and hang some pictures. The chair goes in the big empty corner next to the book shelves.
Baby is due in 3 and a half weeks. I feel like he might come sooner, but what do I know being a first timer? I don't know what it should feel like, but I do know that he feels really big, and I couldn't possibly get any larger myself. I'm still doing pretty good for the most part. This has been as easy as it can be for anyone. I never got sick, I'm still working on my first roll of Rolaids and it wasn't until just this weekend that my shoes wouldn't hardly go on, but those shoes were pretty snug to begin with. I'm starting to get sick of the rude comments. One guy at work asked me if I was having twins. I'm pretty sure my response was not what he was expecting. I wasn't exactly mean, but I'm confident he won't ask any more questions. Lots of people say mean things in a funny way, and I have fun with it, because I know they are just joking with me, but it's the ignorant comments that get to me... like "are you having twins" when you know I'm not!
Two weekends ago my church held a shower for me. All my sisters drove over and my mom and nieces Madeline, Bella, Katya, and Kristen and my nephew Tony came too. There were people from my church that I don't think I've ever met before. It's so nice to have all these people who care that I didn't even know about. They did a candy land theme. It was so adorable. I wish I could post pictures of that but those pics are stuck on my nice camera until I find the cable. One of these days, when I find that stupid cable, I'll surprise everyone with a long post in pictures of the past year.
My mom has been busy crocheting and sewing. She's made 5 blankets and 8 burp rags and she's still working on more blankets at home and some baby hats.
My pastor preached a few months ago that babies are strongly influenced by the actions of their mother while in the whom. Which means this baby will love motorcycles, snowmobiles and off road vehicles. I guess that also means he will hate cleaning, working and exercise. At least he'll make up for it by eating vegetables and taking naps. Speaking of cleaning, I had to work Friday, so I have a full day of catching up... I'm so excited (I'm trying to trick the boy into thinking cleaning is a good thing, but I think he already knows better).

Absolutely adorable and no other little boy will have the same theme. Love it!

From the shower pictures that I've seen, you don't look huge AT ALL.

Hope you go early.

The room is just adorable! What a great room for a boy. You are so fortunate to have such a talented mom to make so many nice things. She is a wonderful grandma! When I saw the picture of Walter sitting there, I thought of Nana in Peter Pan. lol I bet he will love the baby too, and help in any way he can. I am so excited for you. I hope you have an easy delivery.. but whatever happens, you are going to have a special bond with that sweet little boy that you will treasure for the rest of your life.

So unique and adorable. Love that he will be able to appreciate it the theme as he gets older.
Lucky you, no morning sickness... I was sick, with Ryan, all 9 months. Big reason we stopped with him, none of us wanted to go through that again.
Glad you had a pleasant 8 1/2 months, let's pray the delivery will be just as smooth.
Can't wait to see a picture of the little man.
Are you having twins??? Sorry, couldn't resist...I had several people tell me the same thing...very annoying. I would just answer...why, do I look pregnant?....LOL.

Three weeks from today you'll be a new mom and I'll be a year older!

Are you still working or has your maternity started?

That is the longest post you've done in a long time... hmmm are you nesting???? Maybe that baby will come early after all?

The room looks great! It will never be that nice and clean again so it's good that you got pictures!

Can't wait to meet the little guy! Or shall I say, big guy?!

Try to have him on a Friday so we can all come for the weekend. Remember when I had Tony on a Friday and how perfect that worked our for everyone to come and see me and hang out with me in the hospital?

The room is ready, your sisters are ready and your mom has her SUV all packed and read to head West. You must be more than ready. Why is your son not ready?

Your mom emailed me last night that you were at work yesterday. I'd have been home on the deck with a good book eating bon bons!

How about a blog about Mason with pictures of him and pictures of him in his new room?
