Spoiled Rotten Dog

Walter is our spoiled rotten dog. We have had trouble with him getting out of the back yard, he pushes on the fence door until it opens and then he goes and sits on the front porch. There were several days I came home to find notes attached to the front door saying "we have Walter, come to #### (street name) Drive, we didn't want him to get hurt or picked up my the dog catcher." We decided we couldn't keep taking the risk that Walter would get out again, so we started taking him to work with us. He stayed in the back of the shop in a big cage that once housed a large machine. It actually says "cage" on it. He didn't mind it at first, but then loneliness set in. He would howl all day long. It broke every one's heart. We let him run around at break time and at lunch, but that wasn't good enough. He eventual broke out. One of the shipping guys always makes stuff up about Walter... one day he stole his sandwich and then on another day he supposedly ate a page out of his book. He might be joking, but he has no idea how capable Walter really is. So guess where Walter spent his day after feeling sorry for him not wanting to be in a big cage? Believe it or not, the two tubes crossing each other kept him in the office cubical. Can you believe his grandpa wasn't thrilled to have his precious grandson running around his shop? He was on his best behavior too! We think he will make a great guard dog, he could run around the shop barking at people who aren't working. Walter wants his grandpa to give him a more permanent job. He's working on his resume.

Boy, Walter is lucky to have you two for parents. I think he's got you two all figured out, and knows just how to get what he wants.
I can't wait to see what you two are like when you have kids.
But in Walter's defense, the cage looks awful.

I don't understand. Does Walter get to stay in his doggie bed in the office now?

He is a beautiful dog!

I agree with Christine about Walter's being beautiful. You are fortunate to have jobs where you can bring your dog in. Mine would leave wet puddles around the office. So, is Walter sleeping in his bed under your desk?

Walter was so well behaved, but I'm not sure if he'll get to stay or if he'll have to go back to the cage. As soon as the snow melts and it warms up outside, we'll fix the fence and he can stay outside at home again during the day. If we leave him in the house too long he poops on the floor.

He is a wonderful dog. Yesterday we left him in the sunroom with the door open and when we got home from church, he was sleeping on the couch in the room. Only thing out of place were a few pickerburrs on the floor. Not bad. We had 14 people over for lunch and they all loved him and he was well behaved.

Ryan just got a new puppy, He is a 7 week old chiwennie. Half chiwauwa, half daschund. (I know I spelled both of those wrong.) They named him baron, after baron davis the basketball player for the warriors. His nick name is b diddy. They thought their cat, Mr. Darcy needed a companion.

Is Walter snuggled in his doggie bed under your desk or in the cage? Hope it's the former.

Tina..that is Walter sleeping at my desk. He got restless, so there are a couple pics of his bed moved around my cubical. He spent today in the cage and he did pretty good.

Poor Walter. I was hoping he'd get to stay in your cube and just venture out when it was politically correct. Good that it worked out in the cage.

We need to set up a pottery night for our friends from church. Check your email for a list of dates.
Walter is sleeping on the hard wooden kitchen floor at Sarah's. Spent quite a bit of time on the cats bed.

Yes, it's time.

What have you been up to?

I'm thinking of doing a blog redesign for you. This one is too "pink" and slapped together. (I can say that since I did it). I think I still remember your password. I need some good pictures though. Email me some that you'd like me to use and I'll make you a new header and give you a different background. How about some of the cute ones of your pets? Or some of your pottery?
