This weekend we went West. The forecast called for waves on Lake Michigan. It's officially surf season in Michigan. Adam insists on driving to Lake Michigan every weekend when surf season comes. He actually stops thinking logically as well. If I have to get in and surf too, this is my favorite time to do so; the rip currents aren't too strong, and the waves are small enough that I won't die, yet existent enough that Adam will get in the water. The water is still warm, actually warmer than the air, and once in awhile the sun will come out too. Typically, because it's a lake and not the ocean, if there are waves, it's either cold, windy or overcast. In about a month the waves will be too big for me, but Adam will be in heaven. And in about 4 months, he will be dodging ice chunks. Him and his friend Justin are crazy!

I think it is so bizarre that you guys can surf- in a lake. haha.
I'm a wimp, I know I couldn't/wouldn't attempt the ocean version- and even the lake version would creep me out.

Hey there, love your video of surfing. Who is the 1 that gets up on the board. Thats my way. I'm up I'm up ahhh man I'm back down. ugh grr lol Looks like fun. My son and husband are suppose to be sky diving this weekend. It's a graduation present. Well Cathy...you can see the bottom....ya wana jump? heeheehee
