Walter is Doing Much Better
Well, there's hasn't been much going on around here lately. Walter is feeling much better. He still has to get a new bandage every day. He gets a lot of attention at work. Last week Adam stayed home with the flu; there were many people at work who came looking for Walter to say hello to him, who were very disappointed when he was not there. Last Sunday Sarah and David came back over to help shovel snow off the lake so that we would have a skating area or our own. It took a couple of hours of hard work, only to have 45 degree weather the following day which melted all the snow. It has been so warm this week that our lake is nearly thawed out. I guess we will have to wait until next winter to skate again. Mom, you can be relieved of your worrying about us drowning in ice water for another year. Unless we get another cold spell, which would be really cool. But I'm actually looking forward to tubing again. Kristen and Katya, you guys better get some good wet suits, because I'm not waiting until the lake is 80 degrees.

You are so lucky to have such an awsome place to live. Why go on vacation when you have what everyone elce looks for on a vacation. ha.
Glad Walter is feeling better. Poor baby.
BTW: I have been lazy about getting to the post about our new dog Cooper. Thanks for ratting me out. Tina picked up on that right away. If my house wasn't so messy, I would take time to post. I'm going to take advantage of the energy I have for cleaning while it lasts. This whole thing with Uncle Charlie has really zapped me emotionally.
My mother had a Charlie and he was a mutt that had some Gordon Setter in him and he was beautiful with a wonderful disposition. He was a faithful companion to my daughter. What kind or size dog is Charlie?
I agree with what Shannon wrote about where you live. I am so envious of the view and all the fun you have on the lake.
Glad that Walter is feeling better. How do you manage to keep the bandage on? He is a handsome doggie.
P.S. Shannon - My house is not ready for pictures either. With working 6 days a week, it's not a high priority in my life any longer.
Thank, Nat, for mentioning about the weekend and not the fact that I came to visit!
Haha!!!
Just kidding. I'm glad I came out to visit and hang out!
I've had a fun time so far, but I'm kind of glad that the lake has melted a bit, so I didn't have to on it with you guys!
The view is gorgeous.
I can't wait to go tubing either. But, I want some 80 degree water.
