I'm Depressed...(Walter)

Ever find a note on your back that said something like "kick me" or "stupid"? Everyone has, wether it was done to you in fun or you really deserved it. The good thing is though, as soon as you noticed it, then read it, you tossed it (or passed it on to someone more deserving). Aren't you glad you knew what it said so you didn't feel stupid all day? Walter had a sign on all day. He didn't know what it said or I guarantee he would have found a way to get it off of himself and pass it on to someone more deserving.

Everyone at work feeds Walter soo much food that I am actually concerned about his long term health. He can eat several pieces of pizza, peanut butter sandwiches, chips, cookies, chicken, and whatever else he can find in the garbage after lunch all in a days work. At break and lunch time Walter just walks around on his own, I can't be there to monitor what he eats, so I had to make this sign hanging on his neck. I think he is having withdrawals, he seemed down all Friday and he has been eating a lot more dry dog food. I think it will be best for him in the long run.
Follow-up: (Sunday) Walter hates his diet so much that he is rebelling. He pulled off the counter a container of fresh grated Parmesan cheese and a bagel. We found him with the bagel before he could eat it, but the cheese is a goner. Please don't feel bad for Walter though, he still gets handouts, just not as many, and I get to choose what they are. He would be a glutton if we allowed him to be. He should be thankful that he has someone to stop him from over eating. If I had someone distributing my food to me as I needed it, I would be a lot skinnier and I wouldn't be tempted to eat whatever, whenever.

This is so cute. Poor Walter. Can't he have just a little?

Your co-workers really should have asked you before giving him junk like that as it's not good for dogs. The sign you made for him was a good idea and hopefully it will get the idea across.

Yes, he is have junk food withdrawal but it's for the best.

That's so sad! Have you tried telling him about what the sign reads??? Ha-ha!

When I used to take Brewster over to Todd's grandpa's house, him and his roommate would feed Brewster scraps of food all day. One time I brought them a big tub of treats so they would stop feeding him food, and a week later they told me they needed more treats. I buy the same tub of treats at my house and it lasts over a month. No matter how many times I told them, they just kept feeding him. I think he must be the only Maltese that weighs 16 pounds.

It is hard to say no, especially when they don't understand. I say get him the pupcorn treats and take them to work for people to hand out, they only have 3 calories each.

I looked at his picture again and he does look depressed. Dieting is tough.

LOL! I'm sure he's not deprived. He was probably just wondering why the buffet ended.

We need an update on how Walter is doing with his new eating regime at work? Has he (and your co-workers)adjusted?
